Where caring

We understand that we are not just caring for your mother, your father, your husband or your wife. We are caring for the person who walked by your side, held your hand, laughed with you, and celebrated your accomplishments. We are caring for a whole person with a wealth of unique life experiences who deserves dignity and respect.

World-class Care for Your Loved One . . .
At Lo-Har Gardens, our highly trained staff specializes in managing the challenges associated with dementia, including agitation, wandering and confusion, without unnecessary medications or other interventions. In fact, after coming to Lo-Har, many of our residents are able to reduce their medications, providing them with a better quality of life.

We encourage our residents to join the many activities we offer, from music, arts and crafts to exercise classes and seasonal celebrations – as well as helping to care for our resident pets. In everything we do, we continually strive to provide residents with a sense of independence and purpose that enhances their well being.

Our caregivers have been with Lo-Har Gardens for an average 4 years. This longevity, combined with our low turnover rate, gives your loved one an unmatched level of consistency and continuity. Above all, we treat our residents like members of our own family – because in our hearts, that’s exactly what they are.

. . . And Peace of Mind for You.
At Lo-Har, we understand the demands – and rewards – of loving someone with dementia, which is why we provide support to you and your family. We welcome your visits 24 hours a day, and our kitchen staff is always happy to prepare a wholesome meal or snack for you to share with your loved one. We will gladly help you plan special celebrations with your loved one – whether it’s a handful of close friends or the entire family. Your family pet is welcome to visit as well.

Most importantly, we know that the Alzheimer’s journey is not an easy one. That’s why we offer a support group for our residents’ families, chaired by a geriatric psychiatrist. During these gatherings, you can learn more about the disease, discover new ways to cope, or simply spend time talking with others in your situation. And of course, you can call us anytime to talk about your loved one’s care – or just talk to someone who understands.

Sincerely,
